Has anyone here checked out www.zoetrope.com? American Zoetrope is a short story magazine.
They have a Virtual Studio, an online workshop for writers of all kinds, actors, musicians, etc. I joined up a few months ago and am really enjoying it. The basics are that you can submit your writing for others there to read and review. You, in turn, must also read and review others' writings. In fact, it's a 5-to-1 ratio. You must review at least 5 pieces for every one you submit. Occasionally, things submitted online get picked up for publishing and there's also an online version of the magazine. Lots of stuff there and it's all free. Just thought I'd suggest it as a great place to get some input about your writing.
